A Road that Turned into a River

Recently, Kaligawe road on where my office is located absolutely became a river. Hard rain that had been pouring Semarang for two days and two nights nonstop since Thursday evening, 2 February2006, generated extensive flood on every single lower road, including Kaligawe. And you could imagine how terrible it would be. As the main road in the north that is connecting Semarang to other places eastward with huge burden of vehicles, Kaligawe road was getting crowded and a traffic jam definitely emmerged. The flood level reached 60 cm or as high as human hip. The flood was occupying the lobby of my office as well. It was adult-knee high and destroying paper and electronic material such as books, CPU, and anything placed in the lower drawers.
