World Drums Festival

WOLRD Drums Festival was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 24 July-1 Aug 2008. It was a festival that showed performance of all kinds of drums instruments or percussions from around the globe, such as kendang, conga, djembe, rebana, timpany, and modern drum set. At least nine countries involved in this occasion, i.e Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Egypt, Venezuela, South Korea, and Malaysia.

I was not the participant but accompanying the group of 9 percussion players of The Dekase (Dewan Kesenian Semarang/Semarang Art Council) who representing Semarang-Indonesia to the festival. There were 6 all-girl dancers as well to make the group performance more enchanting. My job is making human interest report, either the performance or everyday activities in Kuala Lumpur.
